  • Integrated Learning Materials: Access relevant slides, videos, and reading materials directly inside the quiz interface by selecting Learning Materials from the top menu.

Quiz Progression & Scoring Workflow

Understanding how your quiz answers affect your path ensures a smooth learning experience:

  1. Diagnostic Phase: Establishes your starting knowledge level at the beginning of a module.
  2. Adaptive Branching:
    • Correct Answers: Advance your score and unlock higher-level concepts or progress toward module completion.
    • Incorrect Answers: Trigger diagnostic feedback, hints, and targeted readings to help resolve misconceptions.
  3. Canvas Synchronization: Completed activity points sync automatically with your main Canvas gradebook.

Common Issues & Resolution Steps

Quiz Locked or “Contact Instructor” Prompt

When a learner encounters multiple consecutive incorrect answers on a core concept, AdLeS pauses the module to prevent frustration.

  • Action Required: Review the recommended learning materials for that topic, then contact your course instructor to review your progress metrics and reactivate your session.

Scheduled Module Availability

If a future section or “Part” of a quiz appears locked or unavailable, it is likely tied to a course release schedule.

  • Action Required: Log into the AdLeS Learner Dashboard and check the Start & End Dates listed for that specific part of the course.

Gradebook & Score Sync Delays

Grade synchronization between AdLeS and Canvas runs periodically rather than instantaneously.

  • Action Required: Confirm you clicked Submit / Finish at the end of the section. If scores do not reflect in Canvas after 24 hours, take a screenshot of your AdLeS Dashboard and submit a ticket.

Special Note for Resit Students

If you are retaking a course, your AdLeS quiz attempts serve solely as revision and study tools. Completing these quizzes will not alter or overwrite existing recorded grades on Canvas.
